UTRGV WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HOME GAME AGAINST NICHOLLS MOVED TO MONDAY
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Tuesday that the women’s basketball home game against Nicholls originally scheduled for Thursday is being moved to Monday at 4 p.m. at the UTRGV Fieldhouse due to inclement weather impacting team travel.
The game will now be contested as part of a single-admission doubleheader as the UTRGV men’s basketball team will play its previously scheduled game against Nicholls at 6:30 p.m.
Fans who purchased tickets for Thursday’s game can exchange them for tickets to any remaining UTRGV basketball home game this season by contacting the UTRGV tickets team at (956) 665-4205 or tickets@utrgv.edu.
Both games will be part of Monday Madness, a new promotion bringing the excitement of UTRGV Madness to Monday home games.
The promotion includes a DJ for pregame and in-game festivities, party lights that are featured throughout the night, and glow sticks for fans. The lights in the UTRGV Fieldhouse are shut off multiple time before and during the games as the party lights and glowsticks illuminate the gym.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at UTRGVTickets.com. Current UTRGV students receive free general admission with their student ID. All fans need to follow the clear bag policy, details of which can be found at GoUTRGV.com/ClearBag. The party starts in Schlotzsky’s Vaquero Village at 3 p.m.
Fans can watch domestically on ESPN+ or internationally via Southland International.
