RAISES MORE THAN $62,000 FOR THE UVALDE COMMUNITY

Donations will be used by United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County

to help survivors and families of the Robb Elementary shooting

(SAN ANTONIO, TX – July 27, 2022) –– Security Service Federal Credit Union collected more than $62,000 through its Support Uvalde campaign. The credit union’s employees, members, and the community donated the funds at all branch locations in Texas, Colorado and Utah following the May 24, 2022, tragedy. All the money raised went to the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County where it will be used to support immediate and long-term mental health needs for those impacted.

“While this tragedy occurred in Texas, it has left our nation heartbroken,” said Brandy Ralston-Lint, senior vice president of corporate communications for Security Service Federal Credit Union. “Through the generosity of our employees, members and the community, we are able to bring much needed resources to those who are hurting from this senseless act.”

Security Service operates a branch in Uvalde. In addition to collecting funds, the credit union continues to offer mental health assistance for its employees and their family members impacted by the shooting.
