Edinburg Vela pounces Weslaco East on the road

The Sabercats put up another 50 points on the scoreboard in their 54-7 win over the Weslaco East Wildcats at Bobby Lackey Stadium.
Head Coach John Campbell and the team dialed into the game fast.
On Vela’s first series they carried the ball all the way to the endzone to take a quick 7-0 lead.
After their second score to take 14-0 lead in the first quarter the Sabercats didn’t let off the gas peddle.
By the end of the half the Sabercats jumped to a 24-7 lead.
Edinburg Vela is now 3-0 on the season. They square off with McAllen Memorial on Thursday Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. at home.
