Cassandra Medrano is the 2023-2024 UIL 6A Girls 100 pound division Wrestling STATE CHAMPION! She completed her State Champion campaign undefeated with a record of 38-0.

“I’m so proud of this girl, she has worked so hard and sacrificed so much for this moment! I am lucky to have the chance to coach such an amazing young lady,” Abel Saenz said, Edinburg High’s Head Wrestling Coach.

In 3 years Medrano has amassed a stellar resume on the wrestling matt. She is a 3x district champion 2x regional champion, 1x voted region M.O.W., 3x state qualifier, 2x state placer .
