Bobcats end their season in the first round of the TXHS Playoffs

HARLINGEN– The Saturday afternoon Texas High School Playoffs match between the Edinburg High Bobcats and Harlingen High Cardinals didn’t turn out the way the Bobcats had planned.

The matching began with strong defense by both teams.

The Bobcats kept the Cardinals out of the end zone the entire first half.

And at the half way mark the Cardinals were holding on to a 0-3 lead off a feild goal.

In the second half the Bobcats continued to struggle to find the end zone, and the Cardinals went on to win 0-21.

The Bobcats were in the game until the Cardinals running came to life. After another successful feild goal, and the Cardinals took a 0-6 lead in the third quarter. The Cardinals would go on to score with a rushing touchdown and converted on a two-point conversion to take a 0-14 lead. Late in the fourth quarter the Cardinals put the game out of reach with another rushing touchdown.
