1SG (Ret.) Casimiro Govea, Jr. age 80, of Clarksville, TN passed away on July 22, 2024 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Jong-Heyun Kim and Pastor Eric Edwards officiating.

He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Casimiro entered this life on March 4, 1944 in Edinburg, TX to the late Casimiro Govea, Sr. and Maria Manuela Tobias Govea. He was a Veteran of The United States Army, having proudly served 2 tours in Vietnam, and was a member of VFW Post 11160.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother.

Survivors include his wife, Chea Sun Govea; children, Alfred Govea, Cynthia Govea (Jorge Magallanes), Richard Govea (Christy), and Vanessa Govea, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Casimiro also leaves behind 10 sisters.
