EDINBURG — We had caught up with Gael Guerra who recently helped area soccer team United 956 to the US Soccer Club’s 2024 National Championship. Here is what he had to say about his recent success on the field.

Q: When did you know you wanted to play soccer, and how hard did work you to get to the level you are at now?
A: I worked very hard to get to the highest level since I was 7 years old.
Q: What is your most memorable moment as a player this season?
A: Winning Nationals.
Q: What was it like for you traveling the country and winning it all?
A: A great experience!
Q: What was your biggest challenge on the way to the championship?
A: Getting chemistry with the team.
Q: Tell us what you were feeling and thinking about heading into the championship game?
A: Getting through the last game without having any regrets.
Q: How much fun was it winning it all, and what is your best moment of the championship game?
A: I had a great save in the 1st half.

A: Off the field fun with teammates.

A: The work we put in.
